Born and raised in Shanghai, El Chen learned to play piano when she was 4 years old. Producer/bassist Charlie Tonelli was born in Buenos Aires, on the other side of the world. Together they are Transpacific Lounge Regulars.

Their music combines the ethereal atmospheres, electronic soundscapes built by Charlie, like telluric musical forests for El’s nostalgic improvisations to meander on. Owing equal parts to her jazz influences and his lo-fi inclinations, Transpacific Lounge Regulars create the perfect soundtracks for those moments of contemplative solitude.
